About Me:

Annaliese Baker is a writer, digital strategist, and content creator native to Chicago, Illinois. She has worked as a published author since she was a teenager, beginning at The Goodman Theatre under New York Times essayists and Tony-nominated playwrights.

Annaliese graduated from Emerson College with a BFA in Creative Writing and Publishing. In college, she ran a late-night/sketch comedy show and a music magazine. She has previously held roles at Novelly, Comedy Central/Paramount, and GBH News.

Her writing has been featured in The Boston Globe, GBH/NPR, Atwood Magazine, and Alyssa Milano: Sorry Not Sorry, amongst other publications. In July 2024, Annaliese launched her podcast On The Record, which covers all things music.

 

Additionally, Annaliese has performed at several venues throughout New York City, Chicago, and Boston as a stand-up comedian. She is a graduate of the world-famous iO Theater Training Center and continues to hone her craft on iO's stage.

She currently resides in Chicago, where she runs the marketing department for iO Theater and continues to freelance as a culture journalist.
